It all began in 1989, when I first discovered my love for photography under the guidance of my elder brother, who was already in the business. As a young boy still in school, my passion was so strong that I used to secretly "borrow" his camera just to learn the art. Though he scolded me at first, he soon recognized my talent and started taking me along on his shoots. That's where I honed my skills, learning the craft firsthand from a true professional.
With years of experience and a deep-rooted passion, I eventually launched my own wedding photography business in Delhi in 2006. Over time, my dedication to storytelling and capturing emotions helped me build a trusted name in the industry.
As destiny would have it, my son, Kartik, inherited the same creative eye. While still in 10th grade, he joined me as a video editor, proving that artistry runs in our veins. Inspired by his talent and commitment, I decided to name our wedding studio Kartik Event Filmer—a reflection of our family's legacy in photography.
To expand our reach and serve couples all over India, I took Kartik Event Filmer fully online and, in 2022, moved to Chandigarh to establish a second base while continuing to handle weddings in Delhi and across the country.
Today, with decades of experience, a passion that never fades, and a father-son duo dedicated to preserving love stories, we continue to create timeless wedding memories for couples all over India.

Do you travel outside Chandigarh and Delhi for weddings?
Yes. We're based in Chandigarh and cover Delhi through our trusted network, but we regularly travel across India for destination weddings — just let us know your location and dates when you enquire.
How far in advance should we book you?
We recommend booking 3–6 months ahead, especially for peak wedding season (October–February), as our calendar fills up quickly during those months.
What's included in the packages, and what's an add-on?
Our Essential and Cinematic Legacy packages cover core photography and videography for your functions. Extras like drone coverage, YouTube live, an additional function, or a pre-wedding shoot are available as add-ons. Full details are on our Packages page.
How long does it take to receive our photos and films?
Turnaround depends on the package and season, but we'll confirm an estimated delivery timeline with you at the time of booking, and keep you updated throughout editing.
Do you shoot only weddings, or other events too?
While weddings are our specialty, we also shoot pre-wedding shoots, engagements, roka ceremonies, birthdays, maternity and baby shoots, and product photography.
What happens if our wedding date changes after booking?
We understand plans can shift. Reach out to us as soon as a change comes up, and we'll do our best to accommodate the new date based on availability.
Do you handle both photography and videography, or do we need separate vendors?
We handle both under one roof — you won't need to coordinate separate photography and videography teams.
How do payments work?
A token amount secures your date, 50% is due before the function, 40% before data delivery, and the final 10% on complete handover.
